Tom Gauld - Robots Mosters Etc.

Tom Gauld's book of postcards called "robots monsters etc" is great little book of cute little illustrations  and handwriting text. witty little jokes. good shit. i like the various layouts ad situations

lots of frames making up one image! i like that, its a cool idea to make a conversation and story line out of one image.

just fuking funny. i like the dull colours.

25 Postcard For Writing On By David Shrigley

3 colour prints, shitty line drawings with weird stuff on there. puts the reader "on edge" (mwahaha). 

addressing major issues like bombing in a completely cynical and satirical way yet somehow maintaining the innocence.
justaposition! 
philosophical issues like death are also addressed, in shrigley's very own odd way

this ones just funny.

Gary Larson

Good old Larson. image and smart arsed remark. Big fat chaeacters with massive noses. great personal style that is easily recognisable.
the idea of natives hiding all their technological stuff for the explorers is genius.
smart arsed puns and well known phrasings are often used as the centre piece in the cheesefest.

This is just bloody ridiculous/ i love it. the line drawing style with the occasional full colour prints makes for very easy printing and this will be experimented with in the future.
